Arlington, Virginia — Today, the Ǻ commended negotiators for making progress toward continue free and fair trade between the United States and China.
“Trade is essential for maintaining our economic health, and plays a significant role in driving the trucking industry, so we are pleased that the Trump administration and China have forestalled potentially devastating tariffs,” said Ǻ Executive Vice President for Advocacy Bill Sullivan. “We hope this means progress is being made on getting a trade agreement that works – one that encourages free and fair trade – for both our nations. We applaud the hard work by American and Chinese negotiators and urge both sides to keep working and to reach a just and equitable deal.”
